The pink rose is the national flower of Luxembourg. Grown in abundance all over the country, the flower is regarded as a popular garden plant which is used for landscaping, as decoration and also during different social and religious ceremonies like weddings. Many florists thrive on the cultivation of this flower because of its high demand for the purpose of gifting, flower decorations, and cut flowers.

Roses are steeped with symbolism in Luxembourg. In Christianity, the five petals of the rose represent the five wounds of Christ. It is also associated with the Virgin Mary. In the Victorian language of flowers, the pink rose suggests grace and the gentle feelings of love.
